"Crazy Love" by Francis Chan

So, I've decided to stop reading Breaking Free by Beth Moore. I just never really got into it and I was getting frustrated with it. Now I am reading Crazy Love by Francis Chan. This morning I read the Foreword by Chris Tomlin (y'all have to know how much I like him) and the Preface by Mr. Chan, himself.

From the sound of it, it will be a very convicting book. This is both good (because I know I need it) and bad (because it's never "fun"). I am excited to get more into it. And, you know 'll write more about it on here - lol.

Here's something I didn't know (from the Foreword by Chris Tomlin):

"Isn't it interesting that in Acts 11, at the end of verse 26, it says, 'The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch'. What I find interesting is the simple thought that the Christians didn't name themselves. But rather, they were called (or named) 'Christians' by those watching their lives. I wonder if it would be the same today. Could someone look at your life or look at my life and name me a Christian? A humbling question for sure."

I can't wait to read more about this book and I would, however, it's time for work...

To just read the Bible, attend church, and avoid "big" sins - is this passionate, wholehearted love for God? ~ Francois Fenelon

Can't wait to read it. I know pastor loves it too. I think Hannah is reading it too- mine should be in the mail now! I hope it gives practical "things" too, in addition to preaching...
